Broccoli Au Gratin

  • 1 1/2 lb fresh broccoli 
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup grated chedder cheese 
  • bread crums
  • paprika
  1. Wash broccoli. pat dry with paper towels, trim stalks and split.Cook broccoli in enough water to cover and 1/4 tsp salt for 10 to 15 mins or until tender.
  2. Place in greased casserole dish. In pot combine butter and flour throughly . add milk gradually, stirring vigorously . Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Reduce heat, add remaining salt. Cook for 1 minute. Add cheese, cook until melted. Pour over casserole top with bread crumbs. Bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 25-30 minutes. Garnish with paprika.
