Aunt Sallys cookies and Icing

1 1/4 cups shortening

1 cup sugar

1 cup molasses

2 tsp soda

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp each all spice, ginger, cinnamon

1 cup cold coffee

6 cups flour

Cream shortening, sugar... add molasses, and remaining dry ingredients atternatly with cold coffee... roll out cookies cut with spam can bake at 350 degrees for 6-8 minutes.

Icing

2 cups sugar

1/2 cup water

boil until mixture will spin a threador 230 degrees on candy thermometer

add.. 20 large marshmallows beat 2 egg whites until stiff...add syrup to whites. beat until you reach a right spreading  consistency
